2025 Walk The Roads ... held held Sat, April 19, 2025 @ 10am Singletree Rd

Bill Gilman (MMNA At-Large Board Member) invited fellow Monument Manor friends (old and new) to come walk the length of one of the roads, to get to know each other but also who lives where, what motivates us, and how we can further connect.  The group walked Singletree Rd. and finished the walk at Bill and Heather's home.  He was joined by Jacqui Masson, Mark Walsh, Robert Morris, Amanda, Dave Taylor, Jamie Taylor, Beth & Brooke Palmieri, and Roberta Frederick.

Since the county assumes no responsibility for our neighborhood roads, their maintenance rests solely with property owners and residents. With your contributions and help from Manor volunteers, we work to repair the roads after rain events and to make improvements to reduce erosion. In 2017, road expenditures exceeded cash contributions. While a significant portion of these funds were dedicated to the preventative measures to reduce future costs, significant expenditures were also necessary to repair the roads after the monsoon in September 2017. Helping to keep costs down, neighbors once again pitched in to maintain the roads. Their work can be seen at: www.monumentmanorneighborhood.com (click on Our Roads: Roads Projects). The work we’ve done is beginning to pay off, the storms having put our work to the test. For example, needed repairs after the storm in January 2018 were minimal. However, we are by no means done with preventative work, and future storm repairs will be needed.

 

Last year (2017) the MMNA received contributions from 91 owners and residents, up from 61 in 2016. Thank you!!!  With more preventative maintenance projects planned in 2018, please help us get to 100 membership contributions or more in 2018!
