                                                                                   Please mark your calendars and be sure to                                                                                          join us for the Monument Manor                                                                                                            Neighborhood Assn (MMNA) Annual Meeting                                                                                      on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 2:00-4:00pm.  

 

We will be holding the meeting In-Person @ Furstwurld (8528 Desert Shadows).  

 

We will be voting for all board positions (i.e., President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Roads Director) at our Annual Meeting.  We are seeking to fill the President position currently held by Terry Stone and the Treasurer position currently held by Joe Ingram.  Geary Hund resigned as Roads/Signs Chair as of January 1, 2026, and Joe Ingram has taken over the duties for this position and will be seeking election for the Roads/Signs Chair position, leaving the Treasurer position open.

Any Monument Manor Neighborhood property owner or resident who has made a current year financial contribution to MMNA may be a candidate for any officer position.  Any interested party must either email a statement of intent to monumentmanorna@gmail.com at least one week before the Annual Meeting, or be prepared to present it orally at the meeting.  The statement should identify the position of interest, and a brief description of qualifications.

  

We are excited that this year Danielle Wall will be joining us to answer questions from Monument Manor neighbors. Danielle Wall is our local volunteer rattlesnake wrangler and wildlife educator based in California’s High Desert (specifically Joshua Tree and Morongo Basin area). She has been featured in major publications like the Los Angeles Times and People Magazine and has appeared on various podcasts to discuss her unique career path from forensic entomology student to full-time wrangler. 

 

At our MMNA meeting, Danielle will discuss:

- Humane Relocation: Unlike official animal control services in California that often euthanize captured rattlesnakes, Wall provides donation-based service to safely capture and relocate them to remote areas.

- Myth Busting: She uses her platform to educate the public on snake behavior, famously debunking myths such as the idea that “baby rattlesnakes are more dangerous than adults” (she notes adults carry significantly more venom).

 

Thanks to everyone that contributed to the roads fund in 2025. If you haven’t done so yet, please consider donating in 2026 as we start the new year with the need for more road repairs after the recent rains.  The roads appreciate your continued support!  Please complete the Membership Form along with your contribution and email the form to Lsdoyle@earthlink.net.
