TRAFFIC AT WEST ENTRANCE TO JT NATIONAL PARK ... November 2018
With the increased visitors to Joshua Tree National Park in recent years, congestion at the Park entrance in our neighborhood has become frequent. During the fall and spring high seasons, and on holiday weekends, vehicles have been backed up a mile or more at times, making it difficult for residents to enter or leave the neighborhood and also produce a potential public safety problem, by impeding the access of emergency vehicles to the neighborhoods.
While Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent David Smith is aware of this problem and works with park staff to take corrective action, if you observe long lines, or are inconvenienced by them, the owners and residents in Monument Manor may contact Supt. David Smith, since he has direct control over the entry personnel.
